Level currently supports over 18,000 US banks and credit cards, but it might be the case that your bank is not in the list in Level.
That could be due to one of several factors:
1. Your bank may be listed with an alternate spelling. There are many banks with similar names. Try searching for different variations or acronyms.
For example, University of Wisconsin Credit Union is found in the bank list in Level as "UWCU".
2. You may need to log into a different bank in the list. Many banks over the years have expanded via acquisition of smaller local banks.
If your bank was recently acquired (and sometimes not so recently acquired), you might need to log into the parent bank, or vice versa - you have an account with the parent bank but to connect to Level you'll need to find and connect to your old bank in the bank list in Level.
For example, Capital One acquired ING Direct, and rebranded it to Capital One 360. Former ING Direct customers who now have Capital One 360 accounts need to log into "Capital One 360" in the bank list, rather than "Capital One".
3. We may not be able to add your bank because they require a form of complex multi-factor security authentication, such as identifying an image or one-time-passcode sent via SMS, that our systems are not currently able to support
4. We may have decided to block a certain bank because they don't support the infrastructure that we use to collect your transaction information.
For example, we will try to update your transaction information up to 4 times a day, once every 6 hours. Some banks will lock users out of their accounts because they consider 4 logins per day to be too much activity on those accounts.
Our goal is to help you manage your money better, and we hate the idea of getting you locked out of your bank account. We think it's better not to include those banks in Level than to make it harder for you to manage your money.
If you're having trouble finding your bank in the list in Level, use the Contact Us form in the settings menu in the app to send us the name of your bank and the URL of the page that you use to login to your online banking website.
Our team will be able use that information to double-check and see if it's in our list. And if it's not, we'll make sure to put it on our list of requested banks and make a note in your account so that we can let you know later if we are able to add it to the list in the future.
