Is there a set time that level updates your account information "once per day"?

We update in a rolling 24 hour window, which starts each day around 1 am PST. So a single user's account might be updated anytime in that window.

Hello, My bank information is always 5 days or more behind.  I also use Mint Bills, and tend to because they have more updated info... why would my bank info always be 5 days or more behind if other apps can see the updated bank info currently?

I understand you use Plaid to connect to a user's financial institutions. Plaid refreshes transaction and account data every 4-6 hours from the financial institutions, so is there a reason you only refresh once a day?

Hi, great catch! We need to update this article. Level now updates up to 4 times per day, provided your bank allows us to hit them that often and has new transactions to give us.

I just signed up, and added my bank.  Why do only pending transactions show up, nothing that has posted is being displayed.

    Hi Chris,

That sounds a bit odd. It could be that your bank only provides Level with transactions on a go-forward basis. That is, we weren't able to collect any historical transactions when you setup your account. If that's the case, we would expect to see some of those pending transactions flip to cleared in the coming days.

If that doesn't happen, please use the Contact Support feature in the Settings menu of your Level app to drop us a ticket with the specifics about your account, and our support team will be able to lookup your account to get to the bottom of things.

    Best,
    Mike

Still having issues. Once the pending transaction are posted they disappear and there is no record of them.

    Hi CT,

Just filed a ticket on your behalf. Someone on my team will be reaching out to you to follow up on your account specifically to see if we can get that solved for you.

Hello, looks like my bank info is 1-2 days behind, for example i have transaction i made mostly 24 hrs ago, pending, but i cannot see it in your app.

Also some transactions are still pending in app, but finalized at least 3 days ago.

Any way you can make "refresh now" button to allow forced refresh once / twice a day ?

Upd: Looks like data updated, all the transactions since Monday got new statuses, and transaction from 2 hr ago appeared also.

    Hi Daniil,

Ok great! Sorry for the delay you experienced. Sometimes we will have intermittent issues collecting transactions from a bank that resolve on their own. Usually, this is due to the bank making changes to their website, to which our data providers must adapt.

I'm taking a shot in the dark here - but it might be worth mentioning that we've had a few customers report delays for BofA transactions this week, but they seem to now be updating normally.

    Hi Mike,

I seem to be having issues syncing to BOA. I only see data up to Monday morning, and can't even connect to see my balance.

    Hi Angel,

Our data provider has confirmed this morning that they've been experiencing some intermittent issues with BOA the last two weeks. If you can please shoot us a note from the Contact Us link in the Settings menu of the app, that will allow us to pull up your account and take a deeper look at what might be happening for your account specifically.

    Best,
    Mike

    Hi, Mike,

Do you update all the data (all the accounts for the same bank simultaneously, or one by one) ?

Because what happens sometimes i transfer money between accounts in a same bank (so one account has debit one credit, totaled to 0) and  next hour i see one of accounts updated (so balance becomes incorrect) , and only next day - second account updated fixing the balance.

Also i can see pending credits for 1-2 days longer than they should be.

    Hi Daniil,

We update one-by-one, but not with a large time difference in between them. However, availability of transactions depends on your bank, and in this case - your receiving bank may not actually have the transaction there to display.

If you schedule a transfer between banks at mid-day - the debit might appear in Level, but the credit to the receiving account would likely not - that's because it depends on when the ACH system processes those transactions nightly.

As for the pending credits - are you saying that in those cases you end up with duplicates (a pending + cleared pair)? Again - this can depend on your bank and what they are sending to our data provider. If you use the Contact Us link in the settings menu to send us a ticket, we can take a look at your account for you.

    Best,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

Transfer transaction appeared immediately in the bank WebUI (for both bank accounts - it is same bank, so it is mostly immediate),  and so since (i guess) you use HTML grabbing, your service results should be same as mine. I guess just was a few hour gap between account updates.

For pending credits - no these are not duplicates, just looks like sometimes you not updating status for transactions you received once.

    Hi Daniil,

Ok, thanks for the additional details - good catch about me2me transfers within the same bank. Without looking at your account details, it's hard to say whether those processing gaps fall within normal processing time, although it sounds likely.

If either issue is making the app difficult to use, please submit a support ticket and we can take a look at it for you.

    Best,
    Mike
